This Labor Day weekend, a new tradition is coming to the Alamo City: “Festival People en Español,” an event celebrating Hispanic entertainment, culture and community. To support the event’s public relations and communications needs, People en Español has selected The CE Group, Inc., as its agency of record. In this role, The CE Group, Inc., is responsible for all local and regional public relations and marketing services.

A weekend celebration of the hottest in Latino culture featuring concerts, celebrity appearances, family activities, workshops and more, Festival People en Español is an annual event relocating from New York City to San Antonio and will take place Sept. 1 and 2. The Alamodome will showcase evening concerts, while The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center will host free daytime activities including question-and-answer sessions with celebrities, discussions on everything from fashion to wellness, and on-site experiences with their favorite brands. There will even be a special tribute to Selena, the late singer known as “the Queen of Tejano music.”

“San Antonio is the perfect host city for an event celebrating Latin culture and community and Festival People en Español will make our city a terrific destination for Labor Day weekend,” said Janet Holliday, President and CEO of The CE Group, Inc. “We are honored to partner with People en Español on this exciting event.”

Festival’s concerts feature Daddy Yankee on Saturday, Sept. 1 and five-time GRAMMY winner Luis Miguel on Sunday, Sept. 2. Additional live concert performances at the two-day Festival People en Español include Prince Royce, Tito “El Bambino,” Larry Hernandez, 3Ball MTY, and Banda Los Recoditos. The diverse musical acts represent the variety of popular Hispanic music including Latin Pop, Reggaeton, regional Mexican and Tribal Guarachero, club music inspired by regional folk songs, and house music from Northern Mexico.

"We are happy to have The CE Group on board as our PR agency in San Antonio," said Amy Galleazzi, Senior Director, Public Relations, People en Español. "With their depth and knowledge of the city's media and influentials, they will be invaluable to People en Español as we are executing this exciting Festival event in San Antonio for the first time. It was important to us that we hired locally and we are confident that The CE Group can help us deliver our communications goals on this extensive project."
